The meeting opened by Hassan Omar Hagaa on behalf of somalilnd National AIDS Commission (SOLNAC).Mr. Hassan briefly explained HIV/AIDS situation in the country underlined that number of people becoming positive in voluntary counseling testing’s (VCT) increasing tremendously, secondly Hassan added that global fund round 4 enhanced national response in the country which capacitated and trained many organization which is know have good skill and knowledge about HIV/AIDS. Lastly concluded that round 8 will continue in our responding, although near one year is left for the purpose of IOM. Route from IOM welcomed and acknowledged those representing implemented partners in Somaliland regions specially those who working with IOM.mss Route apologized delayed funds till January 2010, she concluded that will start September first 2010. Meeting presentation covered role of global fund stakeholders which may be IOM, SOLNAC and implemented partners , consist six partners will come from four regions in Somaliland Hargeisa, Awdal, Togdheer and Sahel region.mid of the meeting IOM representative informed implemented partners that the previous proposal jumped and new proposals raised for the upcoming 4 months will operate this proposals. Day one most of implemented partners presented presentation about their background, mandates, ongoing activities, planned activities, and lessons learned global fund round 4. SAHAN selected specific proposal which will enhance the capacity implemented partners AWSG from Awdal, Peer educators Network, SOYVO from Buroa and LYVO from Lasanod .this trainings is supported by out reach programs in the regions of Hargeisa and Sahel, each region is targeted 100 youth both male and female, at the end of the outreach willing to produce skilled and trained youth for the basic facts on HIV/AIDS for this regions. In the conclusion of the meeting each IPs submitted action plan and budget for the coming four months start form September 1st 2010.
